Economics is all about making choices. Economics is all about weighing the different choices and alternatives. Choices that concern your day to day life. However often making choices of these kind are pretty tough from the get-go. There are a lot of factors that go into these choices rather than just money.
But there is a common belief among people that economics is only about which is not the case and rather a sub-field of Economics, namely Finance is more concerned with money.
Finance is the study of management of money which include investing, saving, renting etc. As many people are actually interested in understanding their various options regarding money, Finance often has all the limelight there is to be taken. And in reality often the topic that concerns a normal person most is actually money. However one always needs to be careful as there is more to money than money only.
